Brooklyn Brewery- Winter Ale: Almost makes up for how much I hate the Yankees!

"When the days grow short and the beach recedes into our dreams, we need a very nice beer to get us through the long winter. Based on the satisfying malty ales of blustery Scotland, Brooklyn Winter Ale will have you looking on the bright side of things.  Rich Scottish malts bring deep bready flavors to a beer with a full copper color, a round, smooth palate, and brisk hopping that pulls the sweet malts into balance.  See – things are looking up already!"

Don’t let the generic looking bottle fool you! There is actually a good beer hidden in here. This Fat Tire clone has enough guts to stand on its own two feet. It has a slight cherry scent, but no fruity flavor. This beer really took me by surprise. It has a reddish brown hue and a nice crisp finish. This beer is not going to blow your mind. But it is worth your money and time, and makes a great all night long sipping brew. Once New York lets us throw a rock at Fran Drescher and sends us all a free six pack of this beer we will call it even.
