Jason Here is another IPA in my long line of India Pale Ale reviews. This journey will never end and to be honest, I’m completely ok with that. I love IPA’s, really really love IPA’s. I want more and more and more, I can’t get enough. I just can’t get enough and Summit Brewing Company's India Pale Ale is next.
Summit Brewing Company classifies this brew as an India Pale Ale and their website describe it as “First brewed with an extra dose of hops to help it survive the long journey from England to beer lovers in India, India Pale Ale is now brewed just for the pleasure of its distinctive hoppy flavor.”
This beer poured a clear amber color with a 1” tan colored head, malty w/ slight hint of hop aromas and comes in at a 6.4% ABV.
Aside from the very boring and plain label the brewery didn’t see it fit to give this beer a proper name other than India Pale Ale. Which is not all that surprising seeing that the beer inside is very generic. I am really undecided as to what I don’t like about this beer, I think maybe that it is just blah. It’s not necessarily bad but it is nowhere near good. With all the other amazing IPA’s out there this is one that I would keep towards the bottom of the list on your Top 500 beers to try before you die.
ABV: 6.4%
Consumed: New Belgium Globe Glass
Verdict: Buy A Six Pack
